In all of his roles he has demonstrated a commitment to driving school improvement and fostering excellence, and in September 2021, Matthew was appointed Deputy CEO of the Maritime Academy Trust, where he directly leads the headteachers and executive headteachers across the trust’s 13 schools; championing innovation and excellence, building the senior leadership teams and professional networks as well as managing the schools' performance and headteacher visions.
