
Rachael Norman
Rachael has been working at the SDBE for 6+ years as an Education Adviser and is also Governance and Admissions adviser for all our schools. She started her career in education 30 years ago as a History teacher in a Lambeth Diocesan Secondary school. Rachael supports our schools in a variety of different ways and delivers training to staff and governors across all phases as well as undertaking SIAMS reviews and providing pastoral care. As a former Secondary Headteacher, she is passionate about education and has a Doctorate in Education from King's College, London.
Rachael is Chair of trustees in a MAT which has both primary and secondary schools. She seeks to use the latest educational research to apply best practice in driving school improvement and her main objective is to enhance the quality of teaching and learning to secure aspirational outcomes for pupils of all abilities. Rachael firmly believes in education as a liberating, powerful and empowering force that changes lives and brings about social justice and equality.
