Rachael Norman is an Education and Governance Adviser at the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education. She began her career in education over 30 years ago as a History teacher in a Lambeth diocesan secondary school.

Drawing on her experience as a teacher, secondary headteacher, and adviser, Rachael supports schools through leadership development, governance, admissions, SIAMS reviews, training, and pastoral support. She is passionate about using educational research to drive school improvement and enhance teaching and learning for all pupils.

Rachael holds a Doctorate in Education from King's College London and is Chair of Trustees of a multi-academy trust serving both primary and secondary schools. She is committed to ensuring that education remains a powerful force for opportunity, social justice, and equality.
