COMPLAINTS
The Board understands that managing complaints , especially when they are complex or sensitive, can be challenging for school leaders and governors. While we do not investigate complaints made about individual schools, we are often involved in offering support, advice, and a listening ear to schools as they navigate formal processes. Our role is to provide guidance rooted in best practice, helping leaders respond with clarity, fairness, and in keeping with the school’s Christian ethos.

Where appropriate, we may signpost schools to our legal or HR expertise and can assist in reviewing documentation or offering reflection space for senior leaders and governors involved in complaint resolution.

If you wish to raise a concern or complaint about the work of the SDBE team, please contact us directly. We are committed to accountability and learning, and we aim to respond to all concerns with openness and professionalism. Complaints about our work are handled in line with our internal complaints policy, which is available on request.
