Governance
The Board provides support for governing bodies on a range of subjects, including:
- Admission and appeals;
- Exclusion of pupils;
- Parental complaints;
- Personnel matters;
- Religious education;
- Collective worship;
- School buildings;
- Ofsted & SIAMS inspection.
We also provide advice on governing body procedures, committees and re-organisation issues such as joining infant and junior schools, change of school category and academy status.
The Board runs a wide-ranging programme of training sessions for governors, in addition to which we have also created the ‘Bishop’s Certificate in Church School Governance’, a modular course running across the academic year.
